Your stuff is awesome! I like the angular qualities of the characters. Also, what is the arrangement with how you apply color in Photoshop?

thanks man, u got alot of very good poses in your gallery :) the arrangement? u mean like layers? I guess my method of madness is to sketch, scan, take that layer and set it to multiply, then lower the opacity and use it to reference my cleanup with the pen tool, then i color under that using a lasso tool, i think use a pen tool to make curved selections for shading and lighting, sometimes feathering the selection, sometimes i add a texture layer over all the colors to get some grit if it feels like it calls for it.

Also, I noticed you like Samael! Industrial blackmetal, baby!!

Great work mate :D i'm guessing you either use photoshop with the polygonic lasso or, illustrator? If not then just tell me to stfu :S

Keep it up pal. :P

Hey thanks, man! My main thing is to start with a sketch, scan it, clean it in photoshop with a pen tool, or sometimes with a paintbrush and wacom tablet, very very rarely anymore, but very commonly in the past, i used traditional ink to cleanup.
:iconjimridlington:
ah, right. ye see i just can't figure out the pen tool in Photoshop, i'm ace with the one in Illustrator but i'm naff with the Photoshop one. If you know any good tutorials and can link them to me that'd be a big help mate.

yeh a Wacom tablet is a heaven's sent for me being left handed an all. A4 Intous 3 FTW :D

Keep up the good work mate and lemme know if you ever fancy doing a colab. :P
